Stomana Industry is Bulgaria’s largest steel industry, with a commercial presence in SE Europe and in international markets.<\/p>\n
Stomana Industry joined Sidenor Group in 2001, after having been successfully in business for 50 years. Since then Stomana has been one of the most export-oriented companies of Sidenor Group, as it exports more than 90% of its production in steel plates outside Bulgaria, to more than 30 countries spanning over a wide geographical area (the Balkans, Europe, North Africa, America), and occupies consistently top positions in the suppliers\u2019 list of many major international groups of steel products\u2019 distribution.<\/p>\n
The Company produces a wide range of steel products, both, plate and long. The facilities of Stomana Industry include a scrap preparation unit, a meltshop, a long products rolling mill, a plate products rolling mill, and a steel ball mill. The plant of Stomana Industry manufactures steel products that meet the requirements of even the strictest international specifications such as EN, DIN, ASTM, JIS, BS, Lloyd\u2019s Register and Germanischer Lloyd. Moreover, the plant applies an ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Management System.<\/p>\n
Following the acquisition of Stomana Industry, Sidenor Group designed and implemented an extensive investment plan to upgrade mechanical equipment, modernise facilities, restructure operations and increase the plant\u2019s production capacity. The high point of the efforts to upgrade the unit was the launching of the new state-of-the-art long products rolling mill in 2008, which increased the annual production capacity of Stomana Industry by 800,000 tons.<\/p>\n
